OUR-ONE-OF-A-KIND MASCOTA TEQUILA DECANTERS

Handcrafted by skilled artisans in Pachuca, Mexico, each Mascota Tequila decanter is made individually, and is a one-of-a-kind piece of art that is crafted to the highest of standards. In creating the signature Mascota Tequila decanters, the goal was to design a bottle that would be instantly recognizable throughout the world and one that stood as a symbol of hope for animals. Very much thought came into play with the aesthetics of the decanters and their shape, colors and design schemes, which ultimately led to the Mascota Tequila decanters being the most unique and most challenging products ever made by the factory.

During production at the factory, numerous pieces of the head and body are made in separate molds, and then they are pieced together. The seams are then filled with a special mixture of clay and then smoothed by hand to create the final head and body shape. Once completed, the bottles are glazed with color and then placed into high temperature kilns at over 1,280 degrees for the firing process. The end result is a vitrified porcelain decanter, which means zero absorption of water, as well as high impact resistance. The bottles are then decorated by hand and then shipped to our distillery to be filled with tequila.

“I specifically designed the bottle in two pieces because I wanted to hide the bottle cork and spout in the head area of the dog for esthetic design purposes. When the head is positioned onto the body, it is inset within the dog collar making the head and body seamless while viewing it. People that have viewed the Mascota bottles in person are simply blown away by the presentation and can’t believe that Mascota is actually a tequila bottle.
